Business Turnaround

Here’s your shot of weekly inspiration:

“No man ever achieved worthwhile success, who did not, at one time or other, find himself with at least one foot hanging well over the brink of failure.”

-Napoleon Hill, Author of ‘Think & Grow Rich’, one of the best-selling books of all time.

The above quote needs to be read and digested by many today. People have had their self-worth tied up with their net-worth and if their net-worth has been ‘reduced’ significantly (or wiped out) with what’s been going on in the financial system they could be ‘seeing’ themselves as failures.

Yet their situation could be the making of them. Just before Christmas I interviewed an Irish business owner who found himself with two feet hanging well over the brink of failure.

He found himself with a €250,000 loss and stress levels were at an all time high.  He was advised to liquidate the company. He weighed up his options and then decided to dig deep, learn hard lessons and try to turn his business around. 12 months later, he had turned the €250k loss into a €250k profit. It wasn’t easy and he had to really dig deep.

If you’d like to hear some of the lessons he learned in doing that please follow this link:   Business Turnaround Interview There are plenty of companies doing very well right now.(I know of many) And there are also plenty going through pain. Business owners in both scenarios can learn from this interview.

Best Regards,

Shane
